There are two methods to download images from the camera to the computer.
- Mass Storage
- Original (default)
We recommend using the Mass Storage setting, with the option, installation of the Ricoh software is not required.
To change the USB Connection, follow the steps below:
- Turn on the camera.
- Press the Menu/OK button.
- Scroll across using theright button to Setup.
- Scroll up/down and select the USB Connection.
- Press the right button and select the Mass STR (Mass Storage) option.
- Confirm that the setting has actually changed.
- Mass Storage uses Windows drivers.
- Note: with the Original option selected the camera requires the CaplioSoftware to be installed.
- In Mass Storage mode, once the camera is connected to the computer, you should get a screen similar if not the same as the one shown below:
